About Alice
I am a trained Primary School teacher so I am qualified to teach all subjects up to age 11. I have a background in Performing Arts and English Literature. I love making lessons fun and engaging for everyone involved. I am also semi-fluent in French, so I am happy to help those with English as an additional language- I know the struggles of learning a new language!

As a Primary Teacher, I have have to be able to teach everything to a high standard. My teaching method is mostly based on the mastery approach. In it's most basic form, mastery is breaking learning down into the small steps to allow for deepened understanding, rather than speeding through the curriculum; creating a throurough understanding of the reasons for the process rather than just remembering how to recreate the process.
Lessons generally (and loosely, depending on the student) follow the structure that would be expected in a school setting, with changes made to allow for time constraints and the student. I tailor all my lessons to the student(s) involved.

I am the partner of Alice who has recently qualified as a teacher and has been working in Ratby Primary School, Leicester since September 2020.
Alice is a qualified primary school teacher, so she has all the knowledge and skills needed to tutor children coming up to their SATs exams.
Alice is my twin sister, so I've seen her put her all into everything she's done through her life. She's always really enjoyed working with children and enjoyed helping people to succeed to the best of their ability. Because of this, I know she'd put her all into tutoring and would do everything to get the best out of her students.Alice has a great way of helping kids be comfortable and confident in her classes.
