About Alex
I currently work for a tutoring company in Manchester who deliver in-school lessons in a variety of schools in Greater Manchester. The standard of teaching we have to deliver is very high with frequent lesson observations and a library of training resources which is updated weekly. I am a friendly, approachable tutor who relates with those who lack confidence in school, despite having a great academic ability. Quiet or anxious students do not have to worry! Lessons and interactions are planned to support them in their academic development. I was also a quiet student in the classroom and this gives me a passion to help unlock the ability of children who are not as confident in the classroom setting. I graduated from the University of Manchester in July 2023 with a BSc in Biochemistry. I also have multiple qualifications in safeguarding children and an enhanced DBS on the update service.

ONLINE AND IN PERSON TUTORING SESSIONS BY A SCIENCE TEACHER GCSE Science | GCSE Biology | GCSE Chemistry | GCSE Physics | KS3 & KS4 Science (year 7-11 science) After completing around 15 hours of training on a variety of different teaching methods in my previous role, and now being a current trainee teacher, I am used to planning and delivering engaging lessons where the student feels involved and where they are in a safe space to ask any questions. My tutoring sessions are centred around those I am tutoring. Everyone learns in different ways how they learn will determine how I plan and deliver my lessons. My lessons are student driven where students take ownership of their own learning which allows them to monitor their own development, enhancing their confidence.
