My approach to teaching yoga is holistic and student-centric, aiming to create a supportive and empowering environment for all. I blend traditional Hatha and Ashtanga principles with modern understanding of anatomy and movement. My classes incorporate precise alignment cues, breathwork (pranayama), and mindfulness techniques. I utilize demonstrations, hands-on adjustments (with consent), and verbal guidance to help students deepen their practice. I also offer modifications for different skill levels and physical needs, ensuring accessibility for everyone. Each session typically begins with a centering meditation and gentle warm-up to prepare the body and mind. This transitions into a sequence of asanas (poses), often flowing with the breath in Ashtanga, or held longer in Hatha. The core of the class focuses on building strength, flexibility, and balance. We conclude with a cool-down, followed by a deeply relaxing Savasana (corpse pose) and a brief guided meditation to integrate the benefits of the practice. My 3+ years of experience and 500-hour advanced certification which is in progress allow me to offer insightful and nuanced instruction. I specialize in guiding students towards sustainable weight loss through mindful movement and personalized recommendations. I foster a non-judgmental atmosphere, encouraging self-discovery and a deeper connection to one's body. My passion lies in helping individuals not only achieve physical fitness but also cultivate mental clarity and emotional well-being. My classes are designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels, from absolute beginners to intermediate practitioners. Whether you're looking to enhance your physical fitness, reduce stress, improve flexibility, or specifically work towards weight loss goals, my classes offer a welcoming and effective path.
