About Celeste
I have been teaching violin for over 7 years and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance (Baroque Violin). My focus is on giving young children a joyful introduction to music. I believe ear training and aural skills should start early. Lessons are designed to be interactive, playful, and imaginative. Storytelling helps children connect music to ideas and emotions. Rhythm games and movement make lessons fun and memorable. Singing and clapping prepare them to play with accuracy and confidence. I use simple melodies to build strong technique step by step. My teaching is inspired by Suzuki and Kodály approaches, which value learning through listening. I adapt these methods to suit each child’s pace and personality. Every lesson balances fun with structure. I encourage creativity, curiosity, and confidence at every step. My goal is to make violin learning joyful, imaginative, and full of discovery.

My teaching approach emphasizes fluent music reading for violinists. I guide students in sight-reading, ledger lines, complex rhythms, and multi-part scores. Visual-to-finger coordination is central to my method. Each lesson strengthens accuracy and speed through clear steps. Real pieces are used to practice in context. I believe music reading should be smooth and stress-free. Musical Theatre Enthusiasts benefit by being able to learn pieces instantly. Worship Singers also develop fluency for confident performances. Lessons balance drills with practical applications. Students learn strategies to simplify and solve difficult passages. Each session builds toward greater fluency and independence. Over time, reading becomes fast, natural, and confident. The goal is always to make new music feel accessible and exciting.
