About Bob
My own Spanish journey started almost by accident, through a childhood friendship with a bilingual family who patiently included me in their conversations. That early, informal exposure planted a curiosity that eventually led to years of formal study later on. Combining that natural, playful beginning with structured academic training shaped how I now introduce Spanish to young and new learners. That blend still guides nearly every lesson I plan today.
Working with children alongside adult beginners means constantly adjusting energy and pacing depending on who I'm teaching that day. I never assume children and adults absorb language the same way, so games and structure get balanced differently for each. What I enjoy most is watching a child proudly string together their first full sentence without any prompting at all. That unprompted moment of confidence is honestly one of the best parts of teaching.
I stay connected to Spanish through travel, films and regular conversations with native speaking friends and family. This keeps my teaching authentic and reflective of how the language actually sounds in real life. Lessons often lean toward whatever topic keeps a young or new learner genuinely curious to keep going. My hope remains simple, that students grow to enjoy Spanish, not just study it.

I remind parents and adult beginners alike that short, frequent practice beats long, infrequent study sessions every time. Language learning rewards consistency far more than intensity, especially in the earliest stages. Topics tied to real interests, whether travel, food or hobbies, keep lessons genuinely engaging throughout. My focus throughout stays simple, helping every student build real confidence speaking, not just reading Spanish.
