About Sofia
I am a dedicated math tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science. My focus is on teaching students how to think critically and solve problems creatively. I lead problem-solving workshops that emphasize logical reasoning and structured approaches. I also prepare students for mathematics competitions, building confidence and skill in high-pressure contexts. My teaching style is highly structured, where each concept builds directly on the one before. I place strong emphasis on algebra because it provides the foundation for calculus, geometry, and statistics. In calculus, I guide students carefully through the logic of differentiation and integration. For geometry, I highlight proof-based reasoning, showing how clarity of thought leads to confidence.
