About Syrus
I am currently studying Mathematics and Economics at Trinity College Dublin, and have a strong passion for mathematics. During secondary school, I achieved multiple national awards, including 2nd place in Team Maths, 1st place in the Junior Applied Maths Competition, and 2nd place in the Senior Applied Maths Competition.
In 6th year, I also applied to the University of Oxford and was invited to interview, giving me valuable insight into university applications, admissions tests, and interview preparation.
At Trinity, I am an active member of the Maths Society and the problem-solving team, taking part in competitions such as Integration Bee and the Kyiv MechMat competition, with plans to compete in IMC the following year.

As a student who achieved full marks in the Leaving Certificate and is currently studying mathematics, I have developed a strong understanding of how to study maths effectively and approach academic goals with confidence. Through a clear, logical, and step-by-step teaching style, I help students not only learn how mathematics works, but also understand the foundational ideas and motivation behind it.
I offer 1-hour lessons in Junior Cert mathematics, as well as Leaving Certificate/A-level mathematics, applied mathematics and physics. I also provide support with coursework, projects, and advanced topics such as Olympiad mathematics and university admissions tests like TMUA, MAT, and STEP.
Lessons can be delivered in either English, Cantonese or Mandarin, depending on the student’s preference.
Whether you’re struggling with maths or aiming to go further, I offer guidance and support for students at secondary school level or below.
