About Fred
I'm a Mechanical Engineering Grad from University of Arkansas. I have worked professionally since 2010 designing fire sprinkler systems and conducting hydraulic calculations.
I did tutor in college via their work/study program for 1 year on a walk-in basis. I also worked on a private basis with one student for a semester (College Algebra).

I ask students to provide a class syllabus, and as much information about what topics they need help with as possible before each session. My effectiveness is directly related to the quality of information students can provide about their needs each week.
When examining a problem, first I provide some background information to make sure the student understands the problem. Next I demonstrate a similar problem. Lastly I challenge the student to attempt a problem of that type. We all learn by doing.
I do not work actual homework problems. I do provide the tools and skills to students, so they can work them out.
