About Kathryn
I have been playing trumpet for 15 years. I specialise in Jazz and currently play in a Big Band, but have also played in Wind Symphonies and Orchestras. My experience with giving lessons is primarily in voice (namely A Cappella) and beginner music theory, but I am keen to expand into this area.

My lessons are geared towards students who are beginning to learn the trumpet, or have been learning for a few years. I cater for kids and adults and teach music theory as part of the process. I believe learning should be structured, but fun, and encourage students to explore their instrument within their favourite genres. I have a particular focus on tone - when what you play sounds good, everything else will follow.
