About Jared
I am a trumpet player and educator with a Bachelors in music from Morehead State University and a Masters in music from Rutgers Mason Gross school of the arts. My teaching experience includes both teaching private lessons and teaching trumpet and jazz through Clark Montessori Highschool in Cincinnati Ohio and Mason County High school on Maysville Kentucky. As a performer I have played many styles of music from Jazz, to Classical, to Rock as well as Latin Styles. I have also played at various festivals including the Cincinnati Blues Festival, The Jersey City Jazz Festival, and the Newark Puerto Rican day Festival and backed up artists such as Domingo Quinones, Lorna Luft and JD Allen.

I believe that my job as a teacher is to figure out what the student wants out of music and then be able to use my expertise to help them achieve their goals. As such I take a very individual approach as to what they want to learn trumpet wise and also music style wise. I will also suggest different things to them as well if I feel it will help them out in the long run.
