About Hazirah
I'm a recent O level graduate, with the Malay language being one of my strengths and passions. I've also assisted my sister and cousin in the Malay language with this method which allowed them to gain confidence and their grades also showing an improvement from AL5 to AL2.

Other than teaching from a textbook, i want to expose them to malay media such as songs or cartoons and tv shows to see how the language is utilised and to also broaden vocabulary. Listening to songs or watching specific shows and identifying unfamiliar words to learn more about its meaning and usage not only lets them gain new words to add into their vocabulary book but also starts a pathway into falling in love with the language by witnessing the beauty in its versatality. This directly contributes to their skilset in speaking, writing and comprehension. I find this technique works best for primary school kids as it hooks their attention easily and allows them to delve into the world of malay media. Through this method, i've earned myself an AL1 for psle malay and a distinction for psle higher malay, continuing into o levels with an A1 for malay and waiting upon my o level result for higher malay.
