With over seven years’ experience teaching, leading and researching in respected higher-education institutions in the UK and Australia, I have successfully guided hundreds of students, local and international, through challenging academic content, assessments and major transitions with clarity, patience and genuine care. As a holder of undergraduate, masters and doctoral business and management degrees and a lecturer for over 7 years, I tutor University (undergraduate/postgraduate levels), A-Levels, and GCSE students. I tutor subjects/units within Accounting, Economics, Marketing, and other related areas.
My tutoring approach is student‑centred, structured and highly supportive, focused on helping learners build confidence, independence and strong academic habits. I begin by identifying each student’s starting point through diagnostic conversations, low‑stakes assessments and careful observation, allowing me to tailor support to their individual needs, learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
I use a scaffolded learning model, often following my Discover–Do–Develop framework, to break down complex ideas into manageable steps before guiding students towards deeper understanding and independent application.
I prioritise clarity, encouragement and accountability, providing timely, constructive feedback that shows students exactly what they did well, what to improve and how to improve. Sessions are interactive and practical, often using examples, case studies, guided practice and real‑world scenarios to make learning meaningful. I offer pastoral-style academic support, helping students with study planning, assessment literacy, critical thinking and academic integrity, particularly for international, first‑in‑family or transitioning students.
Above all, my tutoring aims to create a safe, respectful and motivating environment where students feel known, supported and empowered to succeed.
