About Jacob
I love mathematics, in fact I am such a nerd, in my free time I do practice problems from a variety of texts I have acquired over the years to stay sharp. I also love it when a student achieves the "ah ha" moment, it is Golden! I am a student-focused tutor, i DON't HAVE A set agenda lesson plan, rather my lesson plans are dependent solely on the needs of the student. I will NOT just feed answers to student, because that does not help anyone, I will guide the student towards the answer and explain line byline, as to WHY the solution is what it is.

I offer video conference lessons on both Outschool platform and using Zoom Video Conference platforms; I can also be found on my Facebook Page, Jacob's Tutoring Services. My approach is Student-led: a one-on-one conference where the student asks me the question (or sends problems and questions before hand and I work on it with the student with plenty of opportunity for the student to ask questions about the concepts, the given problem, etc. If more detailed lessons are required they grow organically out of the initial contact. I encourage frequent correspondence between my student and myself, before and after sessions. I provide and supplements of lessons after sessions, and I like to check back on my students to make sure they are mastering the concepts, and if any questions arise in the interim.
