About Danica
I am a school subject tutor of more than 10 years, focusing on middle and high school Science, Math, Social Studies, and English. In our classes, we will work together to ensure that you are not being spoon-fed information; our goal is long-term retention, accumulation, and application of knowledge, as well as the development of your analytical skills. Equipping you in this manner ensures that you are well-prepared for your journey to university or a career after you graduate from school.

My teaching style involves understanding the student's level and learning capacity during our first meeting, quickly skimming his or her class syllabus to have an idea of the lesson coverage, and aligning these two with the requirements the student must meet in order to pass his or her class.
I prefer easy-to-understand breakdowns of the students' lectures during our class discussions, followed by classwork / homework in the form of worksheets to check for understanding. Most of my students are Grade 6-11.
I focus on quality rather than quantity, so we may return to the same topic multiple times if the student finds it challenging.
