About Aidan
I was raised in Portland, Oregon, where I attended Valley Catholic High School and played basketball, baseball, and football. After high school I went to the University of San Diego (2017-2020) where I graduated with a degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and a concentration in pre-medical studies. During this time I worked both as a private tutor and for the University as a Teaching Assistant in both General Chemistry and Research Methods in Psychology courses.
Post-graduation I moved back to Oregon in order to work as an elementary school teacher (3rd and 5th grade) specializing with kids struggling in math and reading. I ended up transitioning to a role as a long term fifth grade substitute. I then moved to Los Angeles and worked in an ophthalmology office for about a year where I primarily assisted with a corneal cross-linking procedure. I took my current position in October of 2022 as teacher/mentor at Fusion Academy, where I teach a variety of high school sciences and math full time.
In my free time I love to play sports, get outside to hike or climb mountains, and spend time with family and friends.

Whether a student needs assistance in a singular class or multiple, I am confident I can work with them to develop an individualized plan for success. My strategy focuses not only on learning the material, but on developing skills and thought processes that will allow students to succeed throughout all of high school and college. I can easily pivot between teaching methods in order to work around difficult material to gain a full understanding of a subject.
I currently work as a full time teacher of physics, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, and precalculus in a one to one setting at an accredited high school. I am also open to (and have experience in) working with students on any sort of test preparation and or college application they need assistance with.
