About Rebekah
Hello, future studiers
My name is Rebekah, and I love to learn! I also love to share that love of learning with others.
I have completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Melbourne (H1 average). My favourite subjects to learn about and teach are physiology, biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology.
My experience with teaching is as follows. During my degree, I learnt a lot about learning. I completed two teaching subjects as breadth. One subject involved tutoring at a homework club for a semester. The other subject involved a two week placement teaching in a school. My greatest success in tutoring was last year, when I helped a 13-year-old go from year 5 standard in Maths to year 8 standard in Maths in a year of tutoring. I have also had experience tutoring my peers in genetics and physiology during the Bachelor of science.

My teaching methodology is largely question based. I will give you (the student) questions to answer. I shall also expect you to think of questions to ask me. I think that people learn best when they engage in their study, and the best way to do that is by asking and answering questions.
I shall also share with you my methods and strategies for learning the material in the most efficient way. I have spent a long time refining and perfecting these strategies, and I hope to get my students to a point where they can succeed without me.
