About Marita
I first followed a Psychology degree at Tilburg University. I generally liked Statistics classes, but often also felt clueless. When the time came to write my thesis, I was really overwhelmed. This was when Covid just started, and it was hard to get support from my Supervisor. I was lucky enough to have a good friend who gave me private tutoring and helped me navigate SPSS.
In my Research Master Program, everything changed. Suddenly I was in a very small classroom setting and got lessons from an expert in his field. I could ask all the questions I had, but the classes also often felt a bit chaotic and unstructured.
Still, I learned a lot. The Master was very praxis-oriented, and I had through my coursework, internships, student assistant jobs and (too-be-published) thesis tons of opportunity to practice. Furthermore, I started tutoring Bachelor students and friends who were doing their Master thesis.

I know many people studying social sciences (like Psychology) struggle with Statistics. Well, I know I did in my Bachelors. Classes are huge and contents are abstract and often not fully explained.
Here I can help.
I approach my lessons in a very individualistic way, it all really depends on your specific coursework and what areas of Statistics you cover.
I can help you pass exams, or I can help with thesis work.
Generally, I would like to include the following in my lessons:
1. some theoretical clarifications to what you did not understand yet
2. Practice in the specific program you're using
3. interpretation of results
