About Jacqueline
I have been tutoring students in both English and Maths for 5 years now, which I greatly enjoy. I have a passion for teaching, and find it satisfying to see students learn and progress. I feel that teaching is a profession where you can make a difference in students' lives, and as a result I have made a decision to undertake a Masters of Teaching course. I have worked as a learning support officer in Primary Schools, and have taught Ethics for 5 years, which encourages students to deliberate on moral issues and make the right choices.

I believe that each student is different, with a preferred learning style and therefore lessons need to be customised to those needs. I ensure that students have a strong grasp of the basics before progressing to the more complex. Different approaches to learning should also be utilised, supported by various representations and concrete materials to reinforce learning and ensure deep rather than surface understanding. I believe that it is important to guide students' learning, rather than telling them the answer and make them see the relevance of what they are learning. Creative approaches and problem solving should also be used to make learning fun.

Perfect! Jacqueline was very dedicated to helping our daughter with her maths. Great communication and always very kind and courteous. Jacqueline will think of multiple approaches to help explain and practice maths topics that the kids don't quite understand.
Perfect! Jacqueline was a wonderful tutor for my boys. She was patient, kind, listened well & the boys always said positive things about her tutoring them.
I would highly recommend Jacqueline as your child’s tutor. My youngest son’s reading vastly improved after a few sessions with her.Perfect!
