About Mohan
2025 Balwyn High Graduate. 88.15 ATAR and 41 VCE English Study Score. My hobbies include working as a referee for Football Victoria, reading classics, and watching art films.
I was a peer mentor for a Year 11 student throughout 2025, and taught U1/2 VCE English. This was undoubtedly the highlight of my High School experience. I am satisfied in that I saw my pupil go from scoring average on essays to achieving over 80%. I especially enjoyed breaking down the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four with the student, and seeing them grow through consistent feedback and a personalised learning experience.

I come prepared to lessons, and offer detailed notes to you on a given text. I am familiar with a broad range of texts, including novels, films, and literature, and so can give well-rounded insights into the minutiae of a text.
I offer lesson plans, a learning schedule, and other teaching techniques as part of my package. I aim to be a comprehensive, knowledgeable tutor for English, specifically VCE English.

Mohan is undoubtedly the best English tutor ever. To be honest, I've learned a lot more from him than my teacher at school. He's extremely helpful and very reliable, who provides high quality in-depth analysis with every text or scene. His priority is that students gain a profound understanding of the text/scene, techniques to write powerful essays and SAC/exam tips. Mohan puts so much effort outside of class hours to mark essays and provide very detailed feedback.
