About Shivani
I am currently a high school student taking calculus. You may think "Oh she's taking calculus this early? She must really love math!" but I assure you that wasn't always the case! I, in fact, really disliked math for a long time until I realized that it's fun once you get the hang of it, and that can be you to! The thought of math probably gets you stumped, but you just need to remember that you can do it! You just need to get the right understanding in your own way by seeking the best help for YOU; this was the hardest thing for me to except but once I did, everything changed.

As a high school math whiz, I strive to bring an advanced understanding as to what I'm teaching with patience and determination. Some techniques I try to enforce are: problem solving approaches, interactive technology, asking questions, and step by step examples. Something that sets me apart from other tutors is that I have been on the same boat as you! I struggled with grasping certain mathematical concepts and would try to seek help but even then, I wouldn't understand sometimes. I always try my best to put myself in your situation and make it easier for you to understand, and that varies person to person. Something that worked for someone else might not work for you and that's OK, I can help! A typical lesson plan would be: introduction(explaining the objective), interactive instruction (going over the concept/demonstration), encouraging questions, guided practice, individual practice, and lastly, going over the individual practice. I typically teach lessons from K-7.
