About Namya
I am a third-year UBC student in Neuromechanical and Physiological Science with experience teaching over 200 students and 6 years of experience. As the founder of Nuvanta Tutoring, I bring both academic expertise and real experience in helping students improve their grades and confidence. I understand what students struggle with because I have been through the BC curriculum myself and have worked closely with students at all levels.

My approach is to teach like a peer rather than just a tutor. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple and clear explanations so students can truly understand the material, not just memorize it. I also share practical strategies, study techniques and exam tips that help students perform at a higher level and stay consistent. I tutor all high school math, sciences and English as well as university level anatomy, physiology and statistics. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, whether they are trying to catch up, stay on track or push toward top grades and competitive university programs. I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and staying accountable. My goal is not only to help with current coursework but to build long-term skills, confidence and independence in learning.
