About Olivia
Throughout high school I had amazing social studies and English teachers that made me enjoy reading and writing in a way I never had before. Through university I was able to apply the simplified structures they provided me for every dense text reading and essay which helped me immensely. I was a reading tutor for younger students who struggled with staying interested in short books. This helped me understand there is a way for each person to best look at an assignment and enjoy it in the process.

Through reading mentor training with remote individuals, I take a nuanced approach understanding first what works best for the client and then gearing a lesson plan catering to their needs specifically. Lessons may range from grade 1 to first-year university level students. I attempt to share my love for reading and writing through clarifying and simplifying tough content and structuring it in an organized way. Science backs that learning styles, and specific times work best for different people. Due to this, I will generate a lesson plan that caters both towards deadlines as well as the most efficient learning methods for each person.
