About Janelle
Hi! My name is Janelle and I'm a UBC Psychology graduate (high distinction). I completed the AP Psychology curriculum when I was in high school and received a 5 on the exam. I also have previous tutoring experience working with a 9th grade student on English. I'm passionate about working with students to achieve their goals and making learning more approachable and enjoyable.
In my free time, I love cafe-hopping, creating art, and taking dance classes!

My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and encouraging. I hope to learn more about you and your goals so that I can tailor the lessons to meet your needs! My goal is to create a supportive environment where you're able to build your confidence and knowledge and learn how to apply concepts beyond our lessons.
Each lesson typically begins with a quick review of previous material before presenting new concepts. We'll then work through activities or AP-style multiple-choice/free-response questions to review the new content.
I mainly work with high school students taking AP Psychology or introductory psychology courses. I also welcome undergraduate students taking introductory university psychology courses.
