About Atreyi
Hi, my name is Atreyi! I’m an 18-year-old recent high school graduate with a passion for mathematics, education, and helping others succeed. I’m currently holding an offer to study Economics at University College London (UCL). I’ve always loved solving problems and uncovering patterns, which naturally led me to develop a deep interest in math. Outside academics, I’m an avid reader and enjoy exploring how ideas—from economics to philosophy—interconnect. I bring that same curiosity and clarity into my teaching, aiming to make math more meaningful and less intimidating for my students. My experience in tutoring lies in my time teaching English to underprivileged students in Tamil Nadu, India. As such, I’m approachable, professional, and deeply committed to your success. I take a student-centered approach to tutoring, focusing on building a strong conceptual understanding before diving into practice problems. My goal is to help students understand why something works, not just how. I use visual aids, real-world analogies, and targeted questions to break down complex mathematical ideas into manageable parts. Once students are confident with the concepts, we reinforce them with carefully selected practice questions—from basic to exam-level difficulty.
Each session is typically 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and focus levels. I tailor lessons to suit different learning styles, and I provide homework support, revision planning, and exam strategies as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Scored 99% in Additional Mathematics and 98% in Extended Mathematics in the IGCSE exams
- Predicted 7 in IB Math AA HL, with recent experience studying the syllabus
- Received an offer to study Economics at University College London (UCL)
- Recently graduated from high school, so I relate well to students and understand current syllabi, challenges, and exam formats
