About Ying
I am a PhD candidate in Financial Technology at University College London, with a strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, finance and quantitative research. Before my PhD, I studied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Warwick and Statistics at Hunan University.
I enjoy teaching because I like helping students turn difficult quantitative ideas into clear, manageable steps. Through my teaching and dissertation supervision experience at UCL, I have supported students with research design, data analysis, finance topics and quantitative methods.
My goal is to make students feel more confident, organised and independent in their learning.

I provide structured and supportive lessons in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, finance and quantitative methods. I explain difficult concepts step by step, using practical examples and exercises tailored to each student’s level and goals.
I am a PhD candidate in Financial Technology at UCL, with experience teaching quantitative finance, data analytics and research methods. My lessons are suitable for university students, master’s students and advanced A-level students.
