About Amie
I received tutoring for my GCSEs and greatly felt the benefits, improving my confidence to succeed and positively impacting my final grades. 1:1 tutoring allows for a personalised approach, which schools cannot always offer to everyone. My lessons work in a relaxed but structured approach, first I need to understand your current level and goals for the subject. Before the lesson I will ask what topic you would like to cover (around 24hrs before), so I can prepare material.
The general lesson structure;
- Overview of topic (key points)
- Working through practice problems together
- Independent practice problems, with feedback from me
- Looking through exam questions on that topic
Depending on your previous exposure to the topic and confidence level this can change, I will tailor lessons to your needs. My lessons can be either 1hr or 1.5hrs, I cater to people working towards sitting their GCSE Maths and/or Further Maths exams. This can be anyone from year 7-11. I can tutor all exam boards, I personally studied WJEC for GCSE Maths.
