About Maryam
I have an MSc in Drug Design from UCL and a BSc in Pharmacology & Physiology student from the University of Westminster. I’m a self-certified foodie and love both baking and cooking, and the science behind the art. I love reading, particularly Greek-inspired or mystery novels, and as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to develop an appreciation for gardening. I want to teach others because as a student myself, I didn't find my tuition classes engaging and it didn't push me to do any better. I hope to be the tutor I wish I had to my students, one that makes learning, while not exactly fun but at least tolerable! I have tutored many students all at different levels from 11+ to A level, and they all achieved the good grades in their exams needed to progress forward in the next stages. I'm dedicated to wanting to help you along your path to your success!

I have had over 6 years' experience of tutoring for 11+, GCSE and A-level with many successful students. Lessons will usually be 1 hour, but can vary depending on the student's needs. I like to start and finish with an interactive opening and cooldown to engage the student in what we covered in the class. We will often start with learning and revision and then work on questions together, and eventually alone as the student builds their confidence. My teaching style is adaptable to the student's needs. I don’t believe in enforcing my own learning methods but working with the student to find out what works best for them depending on what kind of learner they are. I look forward to working with you, to create the best you!
