About Amelia
Hi! I’m Amelia, a second-year History student at University College London (UCL), one of the world’s leading universities for the humanities. Having also received an offer from the London School of Economics and interviewed at Oxford, I bring first-hand insight into what top institutions are looking for making me well-placed to support students with university applications and personal statements, too. Additionally, I have experience tutoring at GCSE and A-Level in English Literature, History and Economics.

Too often, students leave lessons knowing the material but unsure how to translate that into marks so I focus on exactly what teachers frequently overlook, the examiner’s perspective. I help students decode mark schemes, master question-specific techniques, and understand precisely what examiners are rewarding at each grade boundary.
