My approach as a tutor is centered on clarity, confidence, and understanding. I believe biology makes the most sense when students understand the why behind concepts, not just the facts. I break down complex topics in Genetics, Cell Biology, and General Biology into simple, digestible pieces and explain them in multiple ways until they click.
A typical lesson begins by identifying what you’re currently learning and where things feel confusing. From there, we review key concepts, work through examples or practice problems, and connect ideas so the material feels cohesive rather than overwhelming. I like to use diagrams, real-world examples, and active questioning to reinforce learning.
I value a judgement-free zone where we can learn together! As someone who also utilized tutoring in college, I believe that no question is too small.
