About Carolyn
I am a student at the University of California, Los Angeles. I volunteer in various healthcare organizations, but I've always had a soft spot for teaching and mentoring students. I am a mentor for the UCLA Transfer Center- helping new transfers adjust to the vast campus. I am deeply passionate about the healthcare field, which adds to my love for mentoring and teaching. Teaching students is much like teaching patients on how to build a healthy way of living. Most notably, I am an educator for the Prison Education Project, teaching classes such as an Introduction to College Class.

I'm a tutor who focuses on personalized, engaging learning. I adapt my teaching to each student's needs and encourage active participation. My expertise lies in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology, but I had loved math growing up. I wish to work with elementary school/middle school students, but I have experience tutoring prison inmates over Zoom. What sets me apart is my passion for education and my dedication to helping students succeed.
