About Alex
I have been studying university-level mathematics since I was thirteen, and my passion for mathematics has led me through undergraduate work at Cornell university through completing my PhD at UCLA. I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and passion for math with students, and am happy to provide whatever kind of feedback and support works best for you.

My lessons emphasize conceptual understanding and problem solving. I will tailor my approach to your specific goals and level. I have experience teaching everything from high-school algebra to university level independent studies (e.g. group theory, number rings, and beyond).
I also have extensive experience with standardized testing (SAT, ACT, GRE, Math GRE) and am happy to tailor lesson plans to achievement on specific assessments.
