About Karabo
I am a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Cape Town with a strong interest in Mathematics, Physics and problem solving. Through my own studies, I have learnt that understanding the reasoning behind a problem is much more useful than simply memorising formulas.
I became interested in tutoring because I enjoy helping people understand concepts that they initially find difficult. I know how frustrating it can be when something doesn't make sense, so I aim to create a relaxed environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes and work through problems without feeling pressured.
My approach is patient and practical. I like to break difficult topics into smaller steps, explain ideas clearly, and then give students opportunities to practise what they have learnt.

I offer online Mathematics and Physics lessons for Grade 10 to 12 students. My goal is to make difficult concepts easier to understand and help students become more confident when solving problems.
In each lesson, I focus on understanding the concept first, then applying it through worked examples and practice questions. Depending on what the student needs.
I adapt each lesson to the student's level and needs. If there is a particular topic you are struggling with, we can focus on that rather than spending time on things you already understand.
Lessons are conducted online, making it easy to learn from home using Google Meet or another suitable platform.
As a Chemical Engineering student at UCT, I regularly work with Mathematics, Physics and problem-solving, and I enjoy helping others understand concepts that initially seem difficult.
