About Tania
I want to teach biology because I genuinely enjoy science and I find it exciting to show how it connects to real life. Biology becomes much more interesting when it is explained clearly, and I enjoy helping people reach that point where things start to make sense.
My aim is to make learning feel simple, engaging, and enjoyable. I use real-life examples and step-by-step explanations to break down difficult topics, so they feel less overwhelming and more logical.

My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down complex biology topics into simple, clear, and easy-to-understand ideas. I use real-life examples to make lessons engaging and help students connect theory to everyday situations, improving understanding and memory.
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, but this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs and exam goals. I structure sessions by first identifying weak areas, then explaining concepts step-by-step in a simple way, followed by practice questions and exam-style problems to build confidence and improve performance.
As I am currently a Biology student at Queen Mary University of London, I understand the challenges students face when learning biology for the first time. This allows me to explain topics in a way that targets common areas of confusion and builds understanding from the basics. I focus on making sure students fully understand the foundations before moving on to more complex ideas.
I previously completed a Biomedical Science Access to Higher Education course with Distinction grades, equivalent to top A-level results.
My lessons are mainly aimed at GCSE Biology students, but I can also support A-level students depending on the topic. I work with students of all abilities, whether they need help catching up, improving grades, or preparing for exams.
