About Peter
I am a Nationally Registered EMT (NREMT) and State of Michigan licensed EMT-B with certifications in PHTLS, EPC, and BLS. I have hands-on EMS experience and a strong background in patient assessment, trauma care, airway management, cardiology, medical emergencies, OB/pediatrics, and NREMT test preparation. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Laboratory Sciences.
My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand EMS concepts instead of just memorizing information. I focus heavily on critical thinking, scenario-based learning, and helping students gain confidence for both class exams and the NREMT.
I understand how stressful EMT school and National Registry preparation can be because I have gone through it myself. I work patiently with students to break down difficult topics into simple, understandable concepts while teaching real-world application and test-taking strategies.
I offer tutoring for:
• EMT coursework
• NREMT preparation
• Trauma and medical assessments
• Airway and respiratory emergencies
• Cardiology and EKG basics
• OB/pediatrics
• EMS scenarios and patient simulations
I also offer a free first lesson so students can see if my teaching style is a good fit. I am open to flexible scheduling and rate negotiation because I believe quality EMS education should remain accessible and affordable.
