About Carlos
I have a great passion for teaching, and seeing my students recognise and enjoy their progress is one of my favourite things about tutoring. I provide a relaxed environment and am always happy to help with any aspect of learning. My experience through school has shown me that doing well in STEM subjects is often seen as something that only some people can achieve, which I completely disagree with. I believe that with the correct guidance, anyone can succeed at a subject that has not previously been one of their strengths.

I believe in a structured yet personalised approach to ensure that all topics within a subject are covered while focusing on my students gaining a complete understanding of what they are learning. This is key for being able to apply knowledge and to succeed in exams. I keep my lessons between 1 and 2 hours long depending on the age of my students to keep attention levels high. I have experience with students from pre-GCSE age (11-14 years old) all the way up to 18 years old, preparing for A Levels. When preparing for exams, I like to go through particular areas the student might be struggling with and help create a summary of notes for revision. I also select targeted practice questions for my students to do that help develop critical thinking.
