About Lillian
I am currently an Undergraduate in anthropology. I have been working in before/after school care for about 5 years which has given me the opportunity to help students learn and progress in their studies. While working with mostly elementary and middle schoolers I find that having a tutor that cares instills the love to learn.

I first have the student try the problem or writing prompt on their own to see if they see the needed skills or part of the school lesson. If they cannot, I will give hints or small pieces of guidance to show them in the right direction. If they can identify the concept but need help applying it, I will help guide them based on where they think they got lost. With both situations, we will go through at least two examples together. To work this way it is best to have the child's homework, and school notes, and if the teacher posts the lessons ahead of time I can identify key ideas on the subject. This way of reviewing information is mostly for elementary and middle-grade students since it is based on foundational work.
