About Tabitha
Hi! My name is Tabitha and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Edinburgh studying Biochemistry.
I've been teaching since I was 13, both at a Saturday school and tutoring online, and I enjoy sharing what I know, especially in a less stressful environment than at school!
I am from London, where I took the IB diploma and achieved 44/45 points, and have loads of tips for any IB students in terms of IAs and juggling six subjects.
Outside of academics, I love to spend time with my friends and family, yoga, and playing the guitar.

Biology and Chemistry can be really content-heavy subjects at GCSE and Sixth-form level, with lots of complicated processes and mechanisms to understand and apply in different contexts. I hope to break this down into more similar concepts, focusing on areas where students are unsure and then solidifying the knowledge by doing exam questions or writing content out without any notes.
When taking my exams at school, I found having organised summary notes and mindmaps to be incredibly helpful. Any notes taken in sessions will be emailed afterward, and I aim to make these easy to read so they could be used as a revision tool.
I do have experience tutoring maths and english to primary school children.
As an IB graduate, I am also able to use my own experiences to help with IAs, and general exam technique.
