About Maria
I have been tutoring GCSE for around 2 years and have seen outstanding results, with all my students achieving their target grades or higher. I tutor all sciences at GCSE and English, and at A Level I can tutor English, Biology and Chemistry. I believe that building a positive relationship with a student is essential to the tutor-student relationship, and I will help you learn in a way that is unique to you.

Each student will have a plan specifically tailored to their needs. This plan will also take into consideration what type of learner your child is (visual, kinaesthetic etc.). Typically, my lessons consist of quizzes, videos, questions and active recall to help boost student's understanding and knowledge on the subject. I also spend time going through the content with my students to ensure they have a chance to develop their understanding. I believe I am an understanding and empathetic tutor who can tailor to the needs of each child. I also spend a lot of time working on confidence and managing exam worry, so students can perform to the best of their ability during exam season.
