About Laksan
Hi, I'm Laksan! I am currently a third-year Civil Engineering student at City, University of London, and I am really passionate about helping you get the most out of your studies.
I want to teach because I know exactly what it feels like to stare at a complex problem and feel completely stuck, whether it is tricky maths, physics, or getting to grips with a new piece of software.
But more importantly, I know the incredible feeling when it finally clicks.
Throughout my own studies, I have realised that just memorising a textbook doesn't work for everyone. I prefer a much more hands-on approach. I want to teach to help you break down overwhelming topics into manageable, real-world steps.

My approach to tutoring is entirely centred around adaptability, confidence-building, and active problem-solving. Here is what you can expect when we work together:
A Tailored Learning Plan: In our first session, we will identify your specific goals, your current pain points, and your unique learning style (whether you are a visual, auditory, or practical learner). I then build our future lessons around what works best for your brain.
A Safe Space for Mistakes: I firmly believe that getting the wrong answer is the most valuable part of learning. My sessions are judgement-free zones where asking "silly" questions is highly encouraged. We will break down complex concepts until they click.
Focus on Core Understanding: Rather than just teaching you how to pass an upcoming test, I focus on the underlying mechanics of the subject. Once you understand the why, the how becomes significantly easier.
Building Independent Study Skills: My ultimate goal is to make myself obsolete! I will equip you with the revision techniques, time-management skills, and academic confidence you need to tackle future challenges entirely on your own.
