About Ben
I am Ben, someone who has always enjoyed maths and helping others in anything they do whether this be in or out of the classroom. In particular, I have always enjoyed helping my friends in maths through keeping their mind off the task at hand and teaching them through humour which helps them retain the knowledge I have given them. Although, humour is rarely used as a way to teach people by others I believe offering a different style of teaching allows students to remember what they are being taught far better, this also allows students to trust what is being taught because they see the teacher as not someone who is always boring and grumpy but as someone who is more like a friend.

I have always found fun and entertaining teaching always keeps students far more engaged rather than boring, monotonous teaching, now this is a given, most people would say the same as I am saying. However, being able to pull this off is completely different, I have always been told by friends and teachers that I am able to do this. Furthermore, I’ve always found it rewarding seeing others achieve and complete a task they thought was originally impossible.
When it comes to the length of my tutoring sessions I will always try to keep it between 1 to 2 hours with regular breaks in order to prevent potential burnouts or lack of concentration.
For teaching ages and level I am happy to teach any level of GCSE maths as this is where I believe I will be able to help out greatly.
I hope you take me up as your tutor as I believe I am able to give a different style of teaching that will provide a better understanding of maths on the whole.
