About Jeremy
I work full-time in the financial services industry in a quantitative field. I regularly work with economists, modelers, and a variety of other quantitative cohorts to achieve our financial objectives.
Additionally, I have passion for helping others and for education. This aligns with my goal of giving back to the community and helping students achieve their objectives.
I have an undergraduate degree in Finance/Economics, studied abroad at the London School of Economics & Political Science, and have taken graduate coursework from Johns Hopkins in statistics, advanced mathematics, and econometrics. Additionally, I used to be tutored by Sylvan Learning Center, so as a former pupil, I feel I can better understand the challenges facing students today.

As some who as had to go through tutoring in the past, I feel somewhat qualified to identify what is required for a successful relationship:
1) Understand what the gaps in knowledge are and where the student requires direct guidance;
2) Listen to parents/student on challenges with homework to get a holistic picture on areas for growth;
3) Connect with the student in a way to supplements/aides in the learning process.
No lesson plan can be accurate without fully understanding what the needs are - listening is key for success.
