About Priya
Hi there! I'm a first year undergraduate, studying Medical Biosciences BSc at Imperial College London. I took Maths, Biology and Chemistry for A-Levels, and achieved AAA. I have had experience of tutoring young children and GCSE students for 2 years. My tutoring experience has taught me the importance of tailoring each session to the students' needs, breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps. I also know the value of interactive learning, using creative and engaging explanations to inspire and build confidence in students. In this way, my goal is help them tackle academic problems independently, through positive mindsets and lots of practice!

My approach to tutoring firstly involves creating a tailored teaching plan with the student at the start of each session, to best understand how I can support them. During the sessions, I split the time: firstly, I teach content that they might find challenging, followed by exam-style questions that consolidate their learning, with time for answering their questions throughout. Lessons can last from 1-2 hours. I have had 2 years of experience tutoring GCSE students, in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and having had a positive experience being tutored myself, I know how to provide support for others. I also have experience tutoring KS1, KS2, and KS3 in English and Maths. I have also tutored for 11+ prep, including interviews and admissions tests. Having gone through the 11+ myself, I understand the ins and outs of the process. I achieved 10 grade 9's and one grade 8 at GCSEs: 9 in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, English Language, Geography, Religious Studies, Latin and Spanish. Grade 8 in Computer Science. I achieved AAA at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I am now studying at Imperial College London, Medical Biosciences BSc.
