About Justin
I am Justin, a UK registrar in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine, with previous experience in Emergency Medicine. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and have extensive experience teaching and assessing undergraduate medical students. I am also an ALS and APLS instructor and an experienced university OSCE examiner.
My lessons are for undergraduate medical students in both pre-clinical and clinical years. Teaching can be adapted to the student’s stage of training, curriculum and individual learning needs. I can support students with subjects including physiology, pharmacology, acute and emergency care, anaesthesia, intensive care, clinical reasoning, communication skills and OSCE preparation.

My teaching is practical, structured and tailored to the needs of each individual student. I begin by identifying the student’s current level, areas of difficulty and learning objectives. Lessons are then built around clear explanations, active discussion and the application of knowledge to clinical cases.
I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind medical concepts rather than relying on memorisation alone. My teaching methods include case-based discussion, structured approaches to difficult topics, clinical scenarios, practice questions and detailed feedback. I can also help students develop confidence in clinical reasoning, history-taking, communication, OSCE technique and the management of acutely unwell patients.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long. Each session can focus on a particular topic, preparation for an undergraduate examination, OSCE practice or reviewing areas identified by the student as challenging.
