About Sanjida
I am a SEN tutor offering KS1-KS3 academic support tailored to the individual’s learning need. My approach is structured, patient and adapted to each student to help them not only to learn but also build confidence. I am a tutor dedicated to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across key stage 1, 2 and 3. I offer both online and in person sessions (depending on location). My aim is to create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment. My previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant and a teaching assistant in both mainstream and specialist schools has given me an understanding on how to adapt the learning best suited to the individual child’s needs. I have supported pupils with a wide range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc. My teaching approach is a highly personalised and child-led approach. I focus on building trust first and then developing skills at a pace that suits the child’s needs. My methods include breaking tasks into small manageable steps, visual support, multi-sensory techniques, positive reinforcement and planning the lesson with several breaks. Each lesson is typically around 60 minutes (including regular breaks).
