Lessons for students anywhere from 1st to 8th grade in subjects relating to biology, chemistry, algebra and general STEM.
As a college student, I understand how school can take up large amounts of time and energy. Because of this I would like tutoring to be an opportunity for support regarding units in school. A typical session would include a discussion about the students current lessons in school and an opportunity to ask for help on homework or school lessons, followed by practice problems to solidify the skills we are going over.
I am very passionate about my education and I would love to pass along my excitement for learning by helping children understand how exciting it can be. Building confidence in problem-solving and critical thinking are important life skills that will carry over from school to the rest of one's life. I would love to work with children to hopefully make a lasting impact and teach more than just the subjects, but also that learning is fun and asking for help does not have to be scary.
