About Rishi
Hello, my name is Rishi and I am a first year Actuarial Science student at LSE. I am very passionate about mathematics and statistics, and I enjoy transferring the knowledge I have to those who need it. At A level, I managed to achieve 4A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, which shows that I am a hardworking, conscientious individual. I enjoy how methodical maths is - the idea that you can reach the answer to any question through structured lines of working out is enthralling! Statistics is very interesting because of its numerous applications in the real world - it is used in the social sciences and natural sciences to help understand the causes of events. Alongside the academics, I enjoy playing the drums and many sports!

I tailor my lessons to the needs of student, making it engaging and enjoyable. When a student doesn't understand something, I look for other ways to explain the problem e.g. if he/she is struggling to grasp the theoretical side of the question, I will provide an alternative visual way to interpret it. 1-hour lessons are preferable (anything shorter makes it hard to fit in all of the content), but am happy to tutor for a little longer than this. I have had experience tutoring in the past - in year 12 I was elected as a maths mentor, whereby I helped those in my year who were struggling with the transition from GCSE to A Level maths, so I have the experience of helping out individuals at my educational level. Therefore, I will be happy to tutor those from all academic backgrounds and levels at KS3, GCSE and A-level!
