Hi! I’m a tutor passionate about helping students strengthen their English skills and master General Biology and General Chemistry. While I’m relatively new to tutoring, I’m committed to helping students build strong foundational knowledge and develop effective study strategies for long-term success. I also work with ESL students, providing support in both language and academic subjects to improve their comprehension and confidence.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I focus on personalized learning and use a variety of techniques to fit each student’s unique needs. After assessing their current level of knowledge, I create customized lessons that cater to both content and study strategies. My goal is to help students not only learn the material but also develop techniques to improve study habits, time management, and retention.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Introduction & Review (5-10 minutes): Quick review of previous material and addressing any questions.
Main Lesson (25-30 minutes): Introducing new concepts through explanations, examples, and interactive discussions.
Practice/Application (10-15 minutes): Students apply concepts through exercises, problem-solving, or written work.
Wrap-up & Goal Setting (5-10 minutes): Review key points, answer questions, and set goals for the next session.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
What makes my tutoring approach unique is my emphasis on study strategies and active learning. I help students build study techniques that go beyond memorization, such as active recall, time management, and breaking down complex concepts. I’m here to guide and support students in both mastering their subjects and becoming more independent learners.
Who Are My Lessons For?
Middle School, High School, & University Students: Whether you need help with General Biology, General Chemistry, or need extra support with English or ESL, I’m here to assist.
ESL Students: If English is not your first language, I can help you improve both your language skills and academic performance, especially in reading, writing, and understanding course materials
