About Deul
Hi, I'm Deul — a sophomore at Princeton University studying Public and International Affairs with minors in Neuroscience and Computer Science. I've also pursued English literature seriously and am considering it as a second major.
I grew up around education — my mother is a teacher, and helping her in the classroom from a young age gave me an early intuition for how people learn and where they get stuck. That experience shaped how I tutor: patient, attentive, and always focused on the student in front of me.
Outside of academics I write poetry and have a deep love for literature. Writing isn't just something I study — it's something I live. I bring that genuine passion into every session.
I've worked with students across different levels and backgrounds, helping them untangle their ideas and find their voice on the page. Whether you're writing a college essay, working through a literary analysis, or just trying to communicate more clearly — I know how to meet you where you are and get you where you want to go.0

I believe everyone is a good writer. My job is to make your original thought shine through what might be tangled ideas or incompatible syntax.
As a writer I believe wholeheartedly in "show don't tell" — and I bring that into every lesson. We don't talk about writing in the abstract. We get into your work, find what you're actually trying to say, and build from there.
A typical lesson starts with you. What are you working on, where are you stuck, what do you want it to feel like when it's done. From there we untangle together — whether that's a college essay, a literary analysis, a poem, or just prose that needs to breathe.
I'm a Princeton University student with a background in literature and poetry. I work best with high school and university students on essays, personal statements, proofreading, and creative writing. If you have something to say and just need help saying it — that's exactly what I'm here for.
