About Shyan
My name is Shyan and I am a first year student at Manchester Metropolitan University, studying English & Journalism! Having taken my english studies further, I feel as though I have all the necessary knowledge to teach and enlighten students who need extra support. I watched myself progress over the years until I secured an A* A level. Not only is tutoring a fun activity to participate in during my free time but I am also able to invest some time into the support and reassurance of a pupil. The idea of this is incredibly rewarding to me and I’d wear such pride in knowing my mentee got the grades they deserved.

There is no right or wrong answer in English, as it is known to be a ambiguous subject open to thousands of interpretations. Yet it can be incredibly overwhelming trying to present your argument into an essay without going off on a tangent. All of which I am aware of and will focus my lessons predominantly on the analysis, structure and evaluation of essays, to help you grab those AO3 marks and secure the well deserved 6-9 grades. I feel as though interactive debates and discussions also aid essay practice as they help mold that evaluative mind.
