About Taylor
I'm a senior at the College of William and Mary, and I've worked numerous tutoring jobs in my past. I worked at a Mathnasium in high school, and tutored in college. Ultimately, these sessions are about you, and my goal is to help you learn and succeed. While there are surely more qualified tutors than myself, I believe that due to all of the mistakes I've personally made, I'm well-equipped to advise against all kinds of pitfalls you may encounter.

While math and computer science can be challenging, it can also be extremely entertaining with the right mindset. I plan to shift away from the standard approach of rote practice and memorization, and aim towards teaching students how to think about a problem in a way that makes sense for them. A typical lesson plan will revolve around an introduction to the topic of the day, followed by discussion in regards to how that topic is useful, as well as the core principles behind it. Following that, we'll work through some practice problems together, with the intent of seeing how you can best visualize and attack similar problems in the future. These lessons are for students anywhere from pre-algebra to Calculus BC for math, and AP Computer Science
